On October 31, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MEI) announced the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program would undergo a review process. This was a planned two-year review of the rates, but ended up becoming a review of the entire program at the behest of the new provincial government. Although the program is currently on hold, it will resume early in the new year with new rates and possibly some new categories to better compensate for rates of return on smaller systems.

Submissions for the FIT and microFIT program are still being accepted during this time, and will be processed for approval as soon as the program resumes early in 2012. If you are interested in utilizing solar electricity for the program, we are always available to guide you through the process.
